Pastor James Johnson
Pastor James C. Johnson has served the Lord at Temple Baptist Church since April of 2008. He has a specific burden for our area and is a pastor who leads by faith.
He served on the staff of Good News Mission in Indianapolis for 8 years. While at GNM he was the Director of the Youth Center and the Business Manager.
After attending Bob Jones University and Pensacola Christian College, he completed his degree in Pastoral Studies at Indiana Baptist College in Greenwood in May of 2002. Pastor Johnson also serves as a Police Chaplain for the Muncie Police Department. He was ordained to the Gospel ministry through Lighthouse Baptist Church in Indianapolis and licensed by Faith Baptist Church in Avon, Indiana.
Britan Johnson serves as Temple Baptist Church’s secretary. Together, she and Pastor Johnson are raising their three boys, Marc, Andrew, and Matthew. Britan graduated with an Associate of Science degree in 2002 from Indiana Baptist College.
She also serves the ladies of TBC by hosting monthly ladies fellowship meetings. The meetings are both equipping and refreshing. She loves kittens, and Diet Pepsi but she hates ice tea. God bless you all.
Assistant Pastor Isaac Evans
Pastor Isaac Evans serves as the Assistant Pastor at Temple Baptist Church. He completed his B.A. in Biblical Studies in 2005 and graduated in 2012 with an M.A. in Bible. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D in New Testament Text. He has had the privilege to serve for the last five years as Youth Pastor at Grace Baptist Church in Coatesville. The Lord called his family to Temple Baptist Church and they began serving in January 2013. The Evans family is excited to see the ministry grow and expect God to do great things for years to come.
Kristy Phegley has served at Temple Baptist Church for the last four years. She serves in many areas including the music ministry, Temple Christian Academy, and ministry developments. She has a heart for others and a sincere desire to honor Christ.
